Nusku Terratek can be utilized in a variety of architectural styles
based on the natural beauty of stain grade cedar
NUSKU TERRATEK COLOR RANGE
Western Red Cedar has been used in exterior applications for decades largely due to the natural durability in harsh climates. While durable, the Nusku Terratek product will naturally weather with exposure to the elements which can result in fading of color and minor checking.
NUSKU TERRATEK WEATHERING
When natural wood products are exposure to rain, snow or moisture the extractives, including natural pigments can bleed out which in turn can lighten the color of the wood.
MOISTURE EXPOSURE
When Nusku Terratek is installed exterior, the greatest impact to fading color is ultraviolet rays. UV rays are responsible for breaking down lignin in natural wood products which in time transitions the fiber to silvery-gray.
UV EXPOSURE
Our engineered Western Red Cedar product line has a broad range of colors inherent in the species. We utilize the highest quality veneer which means fine grain, but also color ranging from light tan to dark brown and everything in between.

FINISHING OPTIONS
Being a natural wood product, our customers can use a wide variety of finishes to achieve the desired look. The most common is letting the wood speak for itself by using a clear oil based sealer, but solid body stains are an option if modifying the finish color is preferred.
INSTALLATION OPTIONS
Nusku Terratek can be installed with a more traditional option such as face nailed with a blunt tip, ring-shanked siding nail, but when a clean finish without seeing hardware is desired our customers use a blind nailing installation where the siding nail is at a 45 degree angle through the tongue. We suggest finishing with high quality exterior coatings like Cutek to achieve optimal performance & longevity.
